Professor Dr. R. Logeswaran is currently an Adjunct Professor with Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Malaysia, where he formerly served as the Dean of Graduate Studies, Head of the Asia Pacific Centre for Analytics (APCA) and Professor of Computing and Engineering. He is also currently an Adjunct Professor with Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, India. An academic for over 25 years, he has provided leadership at several prior institutions, including as Dean of Information Technology at City University Malaysia; Dean of Engineering, Science and Technology at Nilai University, as well as Acting Dean of Engineering and Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Studies at Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia. Graduating with BEng (Hons) Computing at Imperial College London, United Kingdom, he completed his Masters and PhD at MMU, and post-doctoral research in Korea. His research interests are in image processing, data compression, artificial intelligence and data science, with over 150 publications in books, peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings. Logeswaran has been a recipient of a number of scholarships and awards, including from Telekom Malaysia, JCS, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Brain Gain Malaysia, Brain Korea21 and a medal for long and commendable service from the Malaysian government. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and the immediate Past Chair of the award-winning IEEE Signal Processing Society Malaysia Chapter. He has had the honour of presenting as a Keynote speaker, Guest of Honour and Invited Speaker to numerous international conferences, and has organized numerous international conferences too including the upcoming IEEE flagship International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP 2023) that will be help in Kuala Lumpur in October this year.
